Back in Motion: Natalie Yerger on Routine & Style

Our Back in Motion series continues with Natalie Yerger, stylist and content creator whose approach to September centers on balance: a refreshed home, thoughtful self-care, and clothes that spark confidence.

What we admire most about Natalie is her ability to blend elegance with ease — finding joy in rituals that make both her space and her style feel intentional.

Go-to back to work ritual

For Natalie, the transition into fall begins at home. “My family always spends the last two weeks of summer away on vacation, which I love. When we return home, my creative energy feels thoroughly refreshed. My seasonal reset rituals revolve around two things: home and self-care.”

Tidy storage bins, fresh flowers, and a seasonal candle help her set the tone. But it’s the early morning coffee before her toddler wakes that feels most restorative. “Ideally, there’s also a workout, a hot shower, and time to choose an interesting outfit.”

If September were a garment

“September, for me, will always be a great transitional dress. When the weather tiptoes between warm one day and cool the next, dresses allow me to tackle the in-between with ease and elegance.”

Her current favorite: a cotton-silk maxi from BOTEH in a romantic paisley print, ready to pair with darker leather accessories as the season shifts.

A piece that instantly elevates your look

For Natalie, accessories are the finishing touch that make an outfit feel complete. “Unique and special touches — whether it’s a vintage bag, a gifted piece of jewelry, or sunglasses — transform clothes into a look that reflects my personal style.”

This season she’s reaching for a Ferragamo scarf tied at the waist, a sea glass pendant necklace, and layers of suede — belt, bag, shoes — for an autumnal dose of texture.

Song that motivates you right now

Music is central to her mornings. “Olivia Dean’s Man I Need radio on Spotify has been on repeat lately! I love the warm soulfulness of her music. My son and I dance around to tracks in the kitchen most mornings. Music sparks creativity for me and relieves stress, so starting the day with something uplifting has become a favorite ritual.”

Inbox or outfit first?

“Outfit, always. Being stylish every day isn’t a requirement for living a great life, but clothes have power. That’s one of the reasons I decided to become a stylist. What we wear shapes how we feel and how we show up in the world — and when I’m dressed in a look I love, I feel clearer, more confident, more inspired, brighter, and ultimately more myself.”
